Portobello Festival: #InspiredFood at the Design Quarter

This year the trendy decor and design hub will be hosting a foodie event where visitors can indulge in gourmet treats, tantilising tastes and organic products. 

The Design Quarter invites you and your family to enjoy the start of a new season with an exploration of culinary finesse by two of our finest celebrity chefs; Chef Coco Reinharz and Chef Benny Masekwameng.

Taste sensations Enjoy flavourful cooking using local produce, a variety of homemade tapas, soulful music and entertainment. Indulge in homemade cooking inspiration for your next dinner party and a selection of sweet goodies to make you smile. Prepare for music, entertainment and a fun-filled day to enjoy with your family. Meet and greet Visitors will have the chance to meet Chef Benny at the chic Design Quarter piazza between 13h00 and 14h00 on the 26th August. This is the perfect occasion to talk all things culinary with this South African Masterchef and perhaps get an autograph or two. A culinary feast Celebrated chef Coco Reinharz and owner of Le Petit Sel Bistro and Sel et Poivre, has designed an exclusive menu for the Portobello event. You can expect a mouth-watering exploration of Pan-African cuisine with fine-dining flair. Chef Coco will present and demonstrate how unique African flavours can come together by region. Explore Africa through your tastes buds from North to West and everywhere in between.

This is an unmissable event that will inspire you for months to come. Entrance is free and the festival commences from the 25th August and ends on the 27th August 2017.
