Oggie Oak Flooring Set To Shine At Fancourt Golf Estate
The prestigious Fancourt lifestyle resort, geographically sheltered by the Outeniqua Mountains is any golfers dream. A tasteful home revamp was done to this home which occupies the most perfect location for any golfer; close to both the 1st and the 18th hole.
The renovation lasted four months, where the existing floors were lifted and replaced with Oggie oak floors. The main en suite was completely gutted and a new swimming pool was also built.
The interior design
The home’s overall design was completed by Andrea Graff. Through the use of colour, pattern, art and craft, Andy sculpts a space to create a comfortable and sophisticated interior that gives a nod to the client’s personal style.
Rather than creating the ubiquitous white home, Andrea bravely broke the mould by using vintage wallpaper from Cara Saven Wall Design. The simplistic vertical lines of the trees draw the viewer’s eyes to the high-pitched ceiling creating a sense of grandeur in height and space.
The bespoke Casamento sofa thus became the starting point for the colour and material palette for the living room and drinks area. The hand-embroidered botanicals inspired by the Fynbos kingdom of the Western Cape creates a strong sense of place and transports one into the world of nature.
Oggie Flooring was a natural choice and the Crudo Rustic range was selected for this home. The extra-width planks chosen were a perfect match to give this home the distinction that it deserves. This gorgeous flooring selection was used in the living room, kitchen, dining room, passage and study.
In the end, a beautiful home was created with quality finishes that have certainly left a mark on the interior. We love the pops of colour and warmth that emanates from the floors.
Consequently, both inside and out, the owners can appreciate a glorious retreat with immaculate views.
