With decades of expertise in wood manufacturing, Castro Wood Floors has emerged as a leader in the Portuguese wood flooring industry and a prominent player in the global market.
Throughout its journey, Castro Wood Floors has prioritised maintaining honest and transparent relationships with its clients. ‘Our commitment to being part of the solution and enhancing the usability, comfort, and well-being of end consumers interacting with their wood floors has always been central to our mission,” says the company.
Being part of the solution also includes a drive to be more sustainable – whether in its manufacturing processes or product offering.
“As a natural resource, wood is a sustainable, renewable product. It grows naturally, and modern forestry standards ensure that it is harvested accordingly and in a sustainable way. We need to do everything in our power to ensure that wood is responsibly sourced and used within the industry. Castro Wood Floors are FSC certified meaning that they look after the forestry and for every tree cut down, they plant a new one,” explains Managing Director of Castro Wood Floors, Claudio De Araujo.
The company’s sustainable flooring offer includes solid wood flooring and engineered parquet in widths ranging from 120mm to 250mm and thicknesses from 11,5mm to 21mm, with various veneer thicknesses from 2,5mm to 6mm.
This includes their latest collection, 7 Wonders of the World Rivers. Engineered flooring with an ash top layer, the collection offers unparalleled design, great resistance and adaptability, providing an unrivalled unique look, with strong nuances in seven distinct finishes. It is suitable for large areas and commercial spaces.
