Spotlight: Glacial Flooring
Glacial Flooring has become one of the market leaders in the Seamless Stone Flooring market. For almost a decade, Glacial has been the preferred applicator of the original Quartz Carpet open pore system. This European system uses naturally tumbled imported glacial alluvial stone set in imported resin which provides a beautiful, smooth look and feel.
The Quartz Carpet pore system has been used globally for over 30 years. It has been tried and tested over the decades and continues to improve with modern technology. It is suitable for internal and external applications with the external application being 100% UV stable. Quartz Carpet is available in a large range of pigmented colours.
More recently Glacial have developed a new local internal and external stone range. They use locally sourced stone which is tumbled to provide a beautiful soft look and feel. The range is mainly natural coloured stone, enhanced by the transparent locally sourced resins. Custom pigmented stone can be matched to suit your colour scheme. The external resins are 100% UV stable and made in South Africa to suit the harsh climatic changes. In addition to the open pore system, Glacial Flooring also provides a “closed pore system” which uses smaller size stone. This flooring is suitable for interior use only. Some of the benefits include:
- Aesthetic appeal and timeless beauty
- Quick and clean installation,
- Can be laid over tiles or other existing cement based floors
- Seamless, smooth and comfortable underfoot
- Hygienic and slip resistant
- Low maintenance, stain-resistant, easy to clean and maintain
- Under-floor heating compliant
Five years ago Glacial also incorporated artificial grass and seamless rubber flooring into their product offering. These products go hand in hand with the exquisite stone floors to offer customers a unique, modern, low maintenance flooring solution. Contact: Glacial Flooring
