iTe Celebrating Local
Theme: *Celebrating Local: We are celebrating all things African this season with a focus on handcrafted and artisanal goods such as textured homeware, craftsman-made furniture and quirky one-offs with a story to tell. The trend is earthy, raw, organic and connected to the beauty of Africa. Tell us how you see this developing in your field over this season.
Local is lekker
As a proudly South African company, iTe Products develops systems and products designed to address the unique challenges faced by the South African construction and flooring industries.
When it comes to Mzansi, these factors include a great deal of climate variation across the country, legacy building stock of differing degrees of quality, and a historical lack of access to skills transfer training.
With our product and service offering, iTe Products actively addresses each of these problems. No matter where you’re building or installing a floor, there’s an iTe Product that will meet your needs. Substrate moisture levels can be problematic – but our quality moisture and vapour barrier products stop rising moisture in its tracks.
Whether your building will be subject to summer or winter rainfall, our DURALiTe D50 cement-based finishing skim coat will shrug off the worst of the South African weather. In each case, using our products lets you celebrate the genius of local architects, and the quality finishes that customers expect.
At iTe Products, we pride ourselves on the research and development that goes into each product. All our products are developed and engineered here in South Africa, using African experience and expertise.
A key pillar of our approach is investing in people – specifically, the construction workers and flooring installers who will be using our products. We believe in giving them the tools they need to do a professional job of lasting quality, every single time.
This includes providing products and a range of iTe Tools, but also sharing what we’ve learned about substrate and surface preparation, product selection and mixing, and application and installation.
We’re always happy to answer questions and provide advice – onsite if needed. We’ll even help with answers for installers who are using products from another company, because we want the quality of South African flooring and construction to shine through.
In recognition of the fact that quality training was not always available in South Africa, we produce detailed installation guides for all products (available for download from our website). In addition, we provide regular training courses at our Alberton headquarters, where installers and construction workers can get to grips with our products in a range of realistic settings.
We believe in a bright future for the Rainbow Nation, and we’re proud to play our part in making it happen. That’s why we’re so committed to building tomorrow today.
