Numatic: Get your Home in Order
Get your home in order for the festive season with Numatic.
It’s Christmas time and that means entertaining family and friends at your home, and then entertaining even more family and friends.
From neighbours popping by to say hi to out-of-town family visiting for a week, this is the time of year our homes need to be in tip-top shape. That means a clean, well-organised interior.
To help you get your home ready for the festive season ahead, Numatic shares some tips for efficiently cleaning your home from top to bottom.
Here’s how to get get rid of dust in your home, for good…
If you want to really get rid of dust in your home, swap your feather duster for a microfibre cloth. Microfibre actually picks up dust, instead of just moving it around as a duster does.
The bonus? When dirty, you can just pop your microfibre cloth in the wash.
Start at the top (ledges, light fixtures, etc.) and work your way down, wiping as you go.
It’s a good idea to also invest in a lightweight vacuum cleaner that you can use to clean shelves, cabinets and moulding.
A great tip is to check if you can lift the vacuum cleaner with one hand before buying it — remember you will be moving around with it a lot, so you want something nice and easy to move around.
Lastly, give your baseboards a good wipe with a damp microfibre cloth sprayed with an all-purpose cleaner.
A good idea is to do this BEFORE you put up your Christmas decorations, that way your home is sparkly clean and decorated, and you won’t get annoyed by dust bunnies settling on your baubles.
