Flowcrete Supply FlowSport For The Blue Bulls
The Vodacom Blue Bulls are the most successful South African franchise in Vodacom Super Rugby, appearing in three victorious finals since the tournament’s inception in 1996.
During a refurbishment of the Blue Bulls’ Loftus Versveld Stadium gym, Flowcrete South Africa were proud to provide flooring solutions for the changing room and stairway.
For the changing room, 72 m2 of FlowSport was chosen thanks to its non-slip properties. Slip resistance was especially important due to the changing room’s location next to the indoor swimming pool.
The seamlessness of FlowSport also meant that the floor could be quickly and easily cleaned, thanks to the lack of joints or gaps for bacteria or dirt to hide in.
FlowSport was specified in blue for the changing room in order to reflect the Blue Bulls’ corporate colours, an aesthetic which is also reflected in the colour of the walls and the branded furniture.
The resilient, uniform and seamless FlowSport was also used on the stairway. For the stairs, which are prone to scuffs, scrapes and scratches, the hardwearing flooring solution was specified in black, contrasting nicely with the blue areas below.
The flooring installation took two weeks to complete, and the newly refurbished gym was able to welcome back the rugby heroes!
