Wolkberg Casting Studios exists as a multidisciplinary design and manufacturing enterprise with a strong emphasis on industrial design and innovation. They have made remarkable strides in the realm of material science, introducing their very own cutting-edge material known as Limesite™, a high-performance concrete formulation.

From the innovative material they’ve developed, Wolkberg Casting Studios crafts a diverse range of products. These include but are not limited to tiles, surfaces, furniture, lighting, architectural elements, and art pre-casts. Their manufacturing hub in Ruimsig has long been a sanctuary for celebrating and elevating the world of design. After much anticipation, they are delighted to announce the opening of their very own showroom in Parkhurst, Johannesburg. Visitors are invited to explore, touch, and engage with their exclusive Limesite™ creations.

This space serves multiple purposes, transcending the conventional showroom concept. It is a place where products come to life. It allows visitors to see and experience the products firsthand. Additionally, it will serve as a venue for a series of events dedicated to promoting and advancing South African design. Architects can look forward to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events, while interior designers will have the privilege of witnessing exciting product launches.

Perhaps most notably, the showroom will double as the setting for their captivating podcast, “In the Thick of Design”. Here they will delve into various facets of design, including industrial design, interior design, and architecture.

The new podcast series will feature informal conversations with chefs and designers who are shaping the landscape of South African hospitality. Whether you’re an architect, interior designer, or homeowner, all are welcome to savour a cup of coffee and explore design possibilities.
