Trend Alert: Geometric Rugs by Casarredo
What can we expect in terms of interior trends for 2018? Geometrics have been a hot trend for 2017 and there is no doubt that the beauty of these diagonals will continue to be all the rage during the year ahead.
From soft furnishings to wallpaper designs, geometrics are simply stunning, bringing energy and symmetry to any interior space. Following on from these international trends, Casarredo brings us the diagonal lines and geometric shapes of the Geometrics fabric collection designed by Doshi Levien for Kettal. As a development of this abstract theme, Doshi Levien created a series of rugs that explore the interplay of different geometries.
In the first rug design, lines are laid over solid colours to make a spatial and layered effect, while in the second design, tiny rectangles or blocks of colour are spaced apart and repeated to create a fine mélange. The two different rug designs, Block and Line, share the same weave technique in common which means they lie well in combinations. These gorgeous designer rugs are available in two sizes, 2 by 3 metres and 3 by 4 metres.
They are the perfect statement rug to enhance your living space, adding style and elegance to any interior. Simple and striking, bring these into your home for a pop of colour or to ground the furniture in your living room. A statement rug serves as a wonderfully warm addition to a space – bringing texture and depth to interior design in one easy piece. Be sure to refresh your space for the new year with these gorgeous offerings, now available locally in South Africa, through agents, Casarredo.
