ALCO Exotic: Flooring Trends To Watch!

ALCO Exotic brings us the latest in European flooring trends. From gorgeous herringbone patterns to glorious walnut floors, wood is a timeless addition to your home and remains on trend as the flooring alternative of choice for designers around the globe.

ALCO Exotic recently travelled to Belgium and Germany earlier this year to find out about the latest European trends in modern flooring and also to visit the factories where Decospan is produced, creating beauty by processing natural wood veneer and supplying four of the brands that ALCO import into South Africa. Decospan develops products based on precious wood in a creative and sustainable manner with a treasure chest of more than 160 wood species and state-of-the-art machines. What are the trends to keep an eye on? Pattern Oak and Walnut floors are on trend in Europe and we can expect the same trend to dominate in South African interiors. The Parky Swing and Twist product provides flooring innovation as it can be installed in three different patterns including Herringbone, Double Herringbone & Square Patterns. These floors are revolutionary and use the Uniclic locking system. The Uniclic® Locking System offers a secure, tight connection you can rely on for your laminate, hardwood, or luxury vinyl installation. Unlike other traditional glue-down installations, Uniclic® has a unique tongue-and-groove locking system—reducing installation time, increasing durability, minimizing mess, and simplifying the entire process of putting in your floors.   In the custom-made category, Cabbani – French Oak Flooring can be made to order and can be installed in a range of patterns such as Herringbone & Chevron. Alco Exotic is also excited about the newest panels which will be arriving in store soon. Their applications are endless but to name a few, you can have panels used as cladding, in kitchens and in customised furniture pieces. There are two distinct ranges including Shinnoki – prefinished Oak panels; and Querkus unfinished panels.
