Mavromac: Jane Churchill
Heralding in a fresh take on classic themes, Jane Churchill’s new Gloriana Collection offers a unique collection of decorative prints and embroideries, each showcasing the designer’s distinct style.
Uplifting and bold jungle designs, including Fantine, are generous in scale and abundant in pattern, while Camile evokes the vibrancy of Mexico’s fiestas with an explosion of flowers and colour. Other classic themes are reimagined with a twist featuring playful colours and patterns from tropical leaves to decorative trees and pretty botanicals, offering an exquisite collection of decorative designs bursting with vibrant colour and pattern and enhanced by handcrafted elements.
Take Shimla, for instance: the stunning decorative stripe embodies the spirit of handcrafted artistry. Block-printed geometric patterns blend seamlessly with a playful array of stitches, all hand-finished with an attractive fringe edge, giving the impression of a patchwork. The herringbone ground adds depth and texture to the eclectic design, which is coloured in a fittingly spectacular palette.
Gloriana, meanwhile, is a modern interpretation of a classic theme. Stunning tropical flowers and leaves are depicted in a dazzling array of stitchwork. A truly signature design, this richly patterned embroidery is enhanced by details of three-dimensional hand-finished cutwork in colour combinations that are both harmonious and uplifting.
While Albus offers a contemporary geometric embroidery design with a modern edge. Featuring a trellis of intricately embroidered hexagons, it celebrates the interplay between matte and satin yarns in lively colours.
With a versatile range of signature looks, the fabrics are ideally suited for window treatments.
