Introducing the London Linens Range: Home Palette’s Blend of Elegance and Practicality
Located in the heart of Woodstock, Cape Town’s thriving design district, Home Palette has been a trusted destination for discerning designers and home stylists for over two decades. Backed by years of expertise in both sales and interior design, the store offers a curated, hands-on experience – helping clients navigate an exceptional range of over 3,500 in-stock fabrics. Each piece is carefully selected from world-renowned design houses in Turkey, Spain, Belgium, the USA, and the UK, ensuring the highest standards in quality, craftsmanship, and style.
The store’s latest addition is the London Linens Range. Made of 70% viscose and 30% linen, the collection offers the best of both worlds.
Woven from flax plants, linen has a high tensile strength, making it extremely durable. The natural fabric is popular for its subtle colours and texture and is resistant to piling and moths, plus it is kind to sensitive skin. However, it is prone to creasing and has limited elasticity, making it unsuitable for some clients and applications.
Viscose on the other hand has a high drapability. Made from wood pulp, the fabric has a smooth, silky texture, and is available in a range of vivid colours. Viscose, however, is vulnerable to spills, can shrink or wrinkle, and is not as durable on its own.
By expertly blending these two textiles in the London Linens Range, Home Palette delivers a fabric collection that’s both durable and beautifully drapable – ideal for upholstery, curtaining, and decorative accents. Available in a rich spectrum of hues, this versatile range offers timeless elegance and everyday practicality in perfect harmony.
