Mavromac presents Spanish fabric house Alhambra
An oldie but a goodie, Spanish fabric house Alhambra has re-released Nicos, a light and versatile linen collection with a Mediterranean soul.
“This year we have been transformed and enriched by things that are close to us,” says Alhambra.
“Our inspiration comes from the places we know best, those that are part of our essence and where the sea is always present.”
“This year we re-release Nicos, a light 100% linen with an attractive, subtly-textured, rough-looking consistency and increase its colour palette to 25 shades,” says the company.
This includes a cool, light grey, light to dark sandy shades, a mossy green, a rich golden ochre hue and an elegant duck egg blue.
“This linen is soft and sheer, with an aero finish. Made in plain weave using a plain loom, with fancy warp and yarn of similar thickness.”
A lovely lightweight fabric, the Nicos range of fabrics is perfect for home decor items, including beautiful napkins, tablecloths and bedding, as well as curtains.
Alhambra is available through Mavromac & Gatehouse in South Africa.
A distinguished lifestyle brand, Mavromac & Gatehouse imports and stocks a range of premium, exclusively designed and well-selected furniture and accessories, including the most luxurious fabrics and wallpapers from international brands such as Colefax & Fowler, De Le Cuona, Nobilis and more.
Founded in 1985, Mavromac & Gatehouse “forged strong relationships with prestigious international fabric brands, which placed it firmly at the forefront of South African fabric houses,” says MD and owner Hanneke Swart.
Today, it is a go-to for designers and homeowners looking for beautiful fabrics and other homeware.
