Moroso Comes to Salone del Mobile 2018
The world of design will be firmly fixed on Milan during Salone del Mobile (17-22 April 2018). This is where the latest trends of the season will be showcased. From masterful exhibitions and extravagant pop-ups to tantalizing launches and thrilling parties, Milan will come to life this month in a grand display of international design.
At Moroso – The Beauty of Design – you will find a fabulous new exhibition at the Salone del Mobile 2018 with a space designed again this year by Patricia Urquiola. It will showcase, among others, products designed by Patricia Urquiola herself, Doshi&Levien, Ron Arad, Sebastian Herkner, Edward van Vliet and Benjamin Hubert. We will also see for the first time a seating collection designed by Niels Bendtsen and tables designed by Mayr&Glatzl. A special focus on Green Light, the project of tables and bookcases designed by that great artist Olafur Eliasson.
And, to mark twenty years of collaboration with Patricia Urquiola, this year will see the comeback of one of the company’s best sellers, the Gentry sofa, in a lighter, resized version. The new Gentry Extra Light takes a fresh look at the concept of an elegant, compact sofa whose use extends from the home to communal spaces.
What else can you expect from Moroso?
In collaboration with Limonta, one of Lombardy’s historic textile firms, Moroso investigates and explores one of the key elements of their research into beauty and form: fabrics.
In the main part of the showroom of Via Pontaccio 8/10, the work of Bethan Laura Wood, a textile and furnishing project inspired by her personal journey into the great culture of 1970’s Mexico. This splendid obsession is underlined by the title: MONO MANIA MEXICO.
On the showroom’s second floor, TAPESTRY, a gallery of designer tapestries by Tord Boontje, Gabriella Giandelli, Front and Alessandro Paderni, celebrates a return to a forgotten object.
Don’t miss out on all that Moroso will have on offer.
