Inova Contracts Presents 4 London Design Week Highlights
All eyes were recently focused on the renowned annual London Design Festival, in its 17th year promoting the United Kingdom’s capital as the design centre of the world. With so many great new design innovations, we asked our friends from Inova Contracts to share just four highlights from the week.
Moooi
The first stop was at the London Moooi showroom where guests were treated to the launch of the Hana armchairs and the Kaipo Too lamp. The Inova Contracts team had the pleasure of meeting Simone Bonnani, the designer of the Hana armchairs who gave them all a glimpse behind the thought process of designing such a stunning piece.
Dare
Dare certainly stood out to impress at this year’s 100% Design. Dare studio is a British manufacturer, led by furniture and lighting designer Sean Dare. We particularly loved the Edwin Workbench and the new Oxbow lounge chair.
Icons of Denmark
Designjunction returned to Kings Cross for a bold showcase of new, engaging design. 2019 also marked Icons’ 10th anniversary. The Crossover range is enthralling, designed by Hans Thyge & Co, it is a crossover between two concepts – the ergonomics and functionality of a task chair combined with the sophisticated profile of a meeting chair. The result is a unique design: an all-day chair that draws the eye and provides comfort for the spectrum of work activities.
Verpan
The VERPAN stand at Design Junction was a must visit for anyone interested in Verner Panton and iconic Danish lighting and furniture design. The stand included both classics and new releases, including the new HIVE pendant, the new Flex Chair and our favourite 430 series chair and barstool designed by Verner Panton.
