Cape Town Rolls out the Red Carpet at Vista Marina
Cape Town’s fashionable festivities took place at Vista Marina in the V&A Waterfront recently, as the red carpet rolled out for fashionistas, media, celebrities and the who’s who alike at the seventh annual Red Carpet Fashion Show.
In partnership with Bella Tydskrif and Prestige Magazine, hosted by Red Carpet Concepts, this event celebrated local and international designers’ summer ranges at the beautiful water facing marina venue. Making waves at this couture calendar event were Shana & Stefania Morland, The Hive Fashion, Jekyll & Hide luxury leather luggage, M Couture, Vilebrequin, Lola Ramon, Tom Ford and Gucci Eyewear, footwear by Charles and Keith, and Jacques LaGrange’s exquisite all-black New York Fashion Week collection.
“I couldn’t be happier with the rollout of this RCFS event. A massive thank to our incredible designers, superb sponsors, to all our wonderful supporters and to VistaMarina for hosting us this year!” Says Jade Allen, Managing Director of Red Carpet Concepts and founder of the Red Carpet Fashion Show.
Premium Pongracz Desiderius bubbly, Cruz cocktails and Happy Culture Kombucha flowed as guests were welcomed to the St Tropez inspired setting. DJs Anthea Scholtz and Miss Creamer spun cool beats while oysters and Mediterranean-style canapes circulated leading up to the show. An exclusive art exhibition by Ana Kuni and Linnea Frank together with floristry by Fynbosch Flora decorated the setting, and interactive pop up bars by ghd, Catrice Cosmetics and FoxBox manicures offered guests ample pre-show pampering.
Celebrity emcees, Jade Hubner and Tracey Lange, lead the evening’s activities, featuring talent like singer Francesca Biancoli and dance performances Tulu Entertainment as well as a guest appearance by Mishka Patel. Lady M continued the post event party while guests received their goody bags filled with gifting from Lindt HELLO, Catrice, Bianca Hamilton Brown, ghd, myUTOPIA, Distell, Jekyll & Hide, Asante, Prestige and Bella magazines.
