World Premiere of the KARE X Karim Rashid Collaboration
KARE unveils the bold and emotional ‘Fluid Realities’ collection with an exclusive design talk at the opening of the trade fair.
Milan/Munich, 8 April 2025 – This year, KARE is making a powerful statement in creative brand development and international design expertise with an exclusive collaboration. For the new ‘Fluid Realities’ collection, KARE’s Head of Design and CEO, Jürgen Reiter, has partnered with renowned star designer Karim Rashid. As one of the most influential designers of our time, Rashid’s iconic design language and visionary aesthetics are recognized globally.
A Strong Signal to the Markets
“Karim Rashid stands for bold designs with emotional appeal and humor, which not only aligns perfectly with our brand identity but also captivates our global audience,” says KARE CEO, Peter Schönhofen.
“Furniture needs to be a part of us to truly feel like home.”
The new collection, consisting of around 60 pieces of furniture and lighting designs, blends futuristic elegance with functional clarity. “The collection stays true to the expressive character of KARE but elevates it to a new level of design. This collaboration represents the next logical step in the development of our brand, sending a strong signal to the market,” adds Schönhofen.
Entrepreneurial Courage and Eccentricity as Inspiration
The collection was developed in close collaboration between KARE founders Jürgen Reiter and Peter Schönhofen. Karim Rashid reflects on the collaboration: “Inspired by KARE’s brand DNA and the courage of its two entrepreneurs, we’ve created a collection that resonates emotionally with designs of strong character and a modern color palette of white, pink, and techno tones. It effectively communicates the brand’s core values to the market.”
Karim Rashid on His Design Philosophy
“I design for people who long for a futuristic, emotionally charged space – whether at home, in the office, or in public spaces. My ideal audience, and that of KARE, appreciates sensuality combined with minimalism and enjoys surrounding themselves with things that inspire joy, wonder, and thought.”
