Step Inside Supermodel Cara Delevingne’s Delightfully Dizzying LA Pad
The exquisite use of colour, luxury finishes and high-end living shines through this beautifully intricate LA home belonging to supermodel Cara Delevingne. The team from Architectural Digest gave us a sneak peek into this delightfully dizzying Los Angeles residence.
Described as a unique wonderland of sorts, this home is filled with quirky finds, from a ballpit and eclectic lighting to a purple velvet look in the bedroom. It’s a home of spectacle – and we would expect nothing less from a world-renowned supermodel like Cara.
Never a dull moment
According to Architectural Digest, the house feels like Saint-Tropez meets Coney Island meets Cotswolds cottage meets Monte Carlo meets butch leather bar. It’s a heady brew, to be sure, but Delevingne takes it all in stride. According to the supermodel, her home was to be a welcome space where she could fill all the different roles she is used to acting out every day. As such, to appease her senses, the house had to reflect lots of various moods and themes. It’s quite an eclectic mix and there is certainly never a dull moment when exploring this fascinating abode!
Greenery, nature and colour
Colour is used boldly in almost every room. Beautiful yellow upholstered seating fills the dining room while deep purple velvet adorns the bedroom. There is also an over-arching nature theme that runs through many of the rooms. Walls are sheathed in a Gucci wallpaper of overscaled herons. A massive snake carpet makes a bold statement in the billiards room and a climbing-leopard carpet creates drama on the stair to the upper-floor funhouse. Furthermore, a flock of bird sculptures by Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante can be found inside; as well as a king’s ransom in ferns, palms, topiaries, and other houseplants.
Furthermore, there’s also a fun-and-games theme. The house boasts a tented poker room; a jolly ball pit; a display wall of kooky hats and a costume room for dress-up parties. It also has not one, but two trampolines set into the ground near the floaty-stocked pool.
Cara shared her love of playfulness and games in a recent interview: “I love games—charades, beer pong, poker, Cards Against Humanity, tug-of-war, whatever feels fun. When my friends come over, the house turns into an obstacle course. It’s like an indoor/outdoor playground by way of Alice in Wonderland”.
