Perfect Hideaways: distinct experience
Located in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, Sterrekopje offers visitors a truly distinct experience. With a focus on rejuvenation, the exquisite property holds breathtaking architecture and design within its perimeter and unique opportunities to reconnect with oneself. Here, you are invited to rest, play, learn, create, grow, connect, be still, listen and let go.
Settled on 50 hectares of olive groves, fruit orchards, vineyards, vegetable, herb and medicinal gardens, meandering pathways leading through long grasses, wildflowers and fynbos constellations, a swimming dam and natural swimming pools, a perennial garden and a chakra garden, secret gathering spots beneath ancient oaks and timeless water troughs and ponds with waterblommetjies dancing on the ripples, this hideaway is an unravelling interpretation of its history of the land, sharing its story from the soil to the stars.
For five generations, Sterrekopje was rooted in farming traditions. Today, it has been lovingly transformed into a sanctuary by its new custodians. In harmony with the rhythms of nature and her abundant gifts, Sterrekopje offers a tranquil three-, five- or seven-day journey.
Guests can begin each day at their own pace, awakening in one of the 11 thoughtfully designed suites. Sip a hot brew on the stoep or by the fire in a private, artfully curated living room adorned with antique treasures, local artisans’ creations, and timeless textiles. Here, indoor and outdoor bathing spaces inspire relaxation, with early morning dips or stretches on a yoga mat leading seamlessly into leisurely garden strolls. Later, guests can enjoy the simple joys of foraging, gardening and creating – be it pottery in the atelier, baking in the kitchen or an afternoon of reading, swimming or quiet reflection.
With 11 suites, Sterrekopje can accommodate a total of 22 guests on a full-board basis. The property also features a Hamman.
