Let’s Explore: Bagatelle St-Tropez

Located on the iconic Pampelonne beach, the restaurant and beach club Bagatelle Saint-Tropez is characterised by French joie de vivre and conviviality.

Internationally renowned French designer Sam Baron has been appointed to create a new, laidback and colourful décor inspired by the spirit of the Côte d’Azur, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist.

This summer, Bagatelle Saint-Tropez celebrates its 10th anniversary. Under the shade of the cane trees and located right by the sea, Bagatelle Saint-Tropez provides a unique experience, set to the beat of a vibrant musical programme.

Bagatelle Saint-Tropez offers a thrilling and holistic experience that will awaken all your senses. The menu curated by Bagatelle’s Corporate Executive Chef, Rocco Seminara, and the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Bilal Amrani is an invitation to an unmissable culinary journey, and offers Mediterranean recipes made from local products, grown in the restaurant’s vegetable garden.

Sea, Joy and Sun

Sam Baron has designed Bagatelle Saint-Tropez as a destination where the décor reflects the natural beauty and richness
of the French Riveria. The surrounding local vegetation seamlessly blends in with the different materials and textures of the beachside setting. The designer collaborated with several local craftsmen, including Poterie Ravel, one of the oldest ceramic makers in France.

Many artists were also involved in the decoration of the restaurant and beach club as part of a creative dialogue around the inspiring Mediterranean culture, cherished by Bagatelle.

Right from the entrance the mood is set by an evocative mural: l’amour à la plage (love at the beach), by a local Provence-based artist. Local artist Charlotte Juillard, a native of the Var region in France, has created an exquisite seagrass mural in the sea-facing lounge area that was inspired by her coastal roots, reinforcing the link between the sea, the land and the sun.

From rattan furniture to customised tableware, from striped, colourful fabrics to handmade decorative accessories, everything has been specifically designed for the restaurant, highlighting the Saint-Tropezian art of living.

Just as modern painters were once so charmed by the colours of this idyllic Mediterranean coast, Sam Baron has curated the space with a blue and white colour palette, emblematic of Bagatelle and a nod to the azure sky and sea, with accents of orange, evoking the sun-soaked terracotta landscape.

Through its design and décor, Bagatelle SaintTropez pays tribute to an era characterised bya hedonistic spirit and sense of freedom, such as the graphic motif in the new bar: boire n’est pas pêcher (a French play on words meaning “drinking isn’t a sin”). Inspired by the SaintTropezian ambiance, these graphic elements subtly unite the beach, the restaurant and the
lounge to provide guests with an unforgettable experience.

Lounge in the Summer Sun

Surrounded by lush greenery and facing the sea, the lounge welcomes guests into a vibrant, musical atmosphere. Unforgettable
moments are to be shared while sipping a drink or enjoying lunch. As an extension of the restaurant’s menu, signature sweet and sour cocktails are also on offer, blending aromatic herbs, vegetables and fresh fruit. The specialties include the Diamente Paloma, a cocktail made with Dobel Diamante Reposado tequila, lime juice and fresh grapefruit.

The nearby boutique offers a fine selection of products for those who enjoy the finer things in life. This Mediterranean concept store features local and trendy brands including Mélissa Odabash, Hermant and Nandita, Waimari, Lastelier and Baobab.

Bagatelle Saint-Tropez’s beach offers moments of complete luxury, peace and pleasure. Striped beach beds, navy blue parasols and a petanque court bordered by large sofas, are a nod to the summer style of the ‘70s. The eternal charm of Pampelonne beach endures with its fine sand and crystal-clear waters.

Feet in the Water

This summer, guests can dip their feet in the water’s edge at the swimming pool. Reclining on the striped sunbeds or under the shade of the canopies, guests can enjoy the beach club ambience of this new space.

The bar, painted in Klein blue, reinforces the azure spirit of Bagatelle Saint Tropez. Throughout the day, guests can sip on
refreshing drinks whilst enjoying a light but gourmet menu.

From the bar to the ice-cream parlour, this space offers a sense of escapism and luxury typical of the Mediterranean coast. Serving traditional Sicilian brioche buns topped with homemade ice cream and a wide choice of toppings, the ice-cream parlour adds the final touch to a perfect day at the beach.

Finally, newly fitted cabins nearby offer the opportunity to change and shower in complete privacy and comfort.

If you’re looking for a luxury experience in a pristine location, then look no further than Bagatelle St-Tropez.
