Kravitz Design
A multi-talented artist, singer Lenny Kravitz is not only a music superstar but a successful designer.
Today, his studio, Kravitz Design, is well-known worldwide for its interior projects, as well as industrial design branding and graphic design work.
“Kravitz Design is a conceptual creative studio founded by Lenny Kravitz in 2003. With a modern sensibility and a focus on interiors, industrial design, branding and graphic design, the work of Kravitz Design always conveys a soulful elegance through a natural, relaxed sense of style,” states the company.
Influenced by music, culture, fashion and design, here’s a look at some of the studio’s most visually stunning projects.
Fazenda São Tome
Kravitz redeveloped this 18th-century Brazilian coffee estate outside Rio de Janeiro into a personal estate with guest accommodations and a recording studio.
The interiors are an eclectic mix of classic local tiles and iconic Brazilian furniture pieces by Oscar Niemeyer and Sergio Rodrigues alongside midcentury pieces. By Eero Saarinen and custom designs by Kravitz.
Hotel de Roxie
Kravitz Studio was responsible for the interiors of this Pariaisna hotel. Located in a 1920s-style building in the 16th arrondissement, the interiors are a mix of modern and vintage pieces with a decidedly 60s and 70s American flair.
L’Arc
Also located in the 16th arrondissement, the design of L’Arc, one of the most well-known nightclubs in the world, was also overseen by Kravitz Studio. The high-end hangout is the epitome of luxe in the city with sophisticated spaces and high-end finishes.
Other projects by the company include Paramount Bay, Biscayne Point Residence, The Stanley House and The Sound Room.
