Island Villa Dubai by SAOTA and ARRCC: Contemporary Coastal Barefoot Luxury Overlooking the Arabian Sea

Along Dubai’s constructed shoreline, Island Villa emerges as a study in barefoot luxury – a coastal home shaped as much by restraint as by view. Designed by SAOTA, with interior décor by ARRCC, the residence redefines seaside living within an urban framework, opening deliberately toward the Arabian Sea while maintaining framed connections to the city’s distant skyline.

SAOTA’s architecture prioritises flow and climate intelligence. Expansive, column-free openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing living spaces to spill effortlessly onto shaded terraces and gardens. Carved courtyards and outdoor rooms draw light deep into the plan while encouraging natural ventilation. Upstairs, bedrooms and a gym face panoramic sea views, reinforcing the villa’s dialogue with the water and the horizon.

Materiality plays a defining role. Bush-hammered light stone cladding recalls coral textures, paired with darker honed flooring to temper glare. Deep overhangs, custom screens and articulated façades choreograph shade and privacy throughout the day. Bespoke glass-reinforced polymer screens and patinated copper details subtly reference regional craft traditions, embedding environmental performance within the architectural language rather than treating it as an afterthought.

ARRCC’s interior décor extends this architectural clarity. Interpreting the beach setting through a Scandinavian lens, the studio layers warm minimalism with tactile depth. Timber, stone and bespoke OKHA pieces introduce a grounded material palette, while soft neutral textiles, leather accents and brushed metal details lend quiet refinement. The furnishings echo the villa’s structural rhythm – composed, intentional and free of excess.

Island Villa balances openness with shelter, light with shade, urban context with coastal calm. Through disciplined architecture and considered interiors, it offers a retreat defined not by ornament, but by atmosphere, a home where luxury is expressed through proportion, texture and the enduring connection between space and sea.
