Pop Interior Design Studio Creative Labour
Founded in 2017, Pop Interior Design Studio is the creative labour of three dynamic and creative women: sisters Catia and Giselle, and their mutual friend, Terri who joined the team in 2019.
Catia and Giselle’s love for design stems from their childhood.“We grew up in a household filled with love and passion for all things beautiful. We are fortunate to always have been surrounded by music, art and inspiration,” they explain.
Based in KZN, the interior design studio specialises in the design of commercial, hotel, restaurant and high-end residential interiors.
“POP Interior Design Studio provides a professional service from concept to installation. We are passionate about how we curate and believe that the key to great design lies in the vital development and implementation of the design details, as well as in the seamless merging of architectural schemes with the design of their interior spaces,” explains the trio.
“We believe that every detail matters. The quality of the light in the room, the textural layering, the depth of the tones. We consider all these elements and piece them all together meticulously all the while ensuring that our client’s vision is brought to life.”
Another key focus for the team is the psychological well-being of their clients.
“We believe that the spaces we move through and live in have an impact on the way we feel. We are always looking for ways of creating a sense of calm and peace in a space. For us, it’s a fine balance between natural light and artificial light, colour palettes and fabric choices, line and pattern, textures and tones.”
It is this exceptional attention to detail, as well as their focus on the user experience, that have led to their success – both locally and internationally – over the past few years.
As Giselle reaffirms; “To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest details”.
