Plascon House Tour: Swedish Apartment
Today’s stylish Swedish apartment is brimming with Scandinavian designs and homely influences that have created a soft, comfy and classy abode.
We love the use of interior glass walls and windows that separate the rooms without the feeling of confinement or being closed off from the rest of the house. On the contrary, the living room feels spacious and inviting, opening up to a light, bright bedroom through the innovative use of modern glass and aluminium framed windows. Floor to ceiling drapes adds to the feeling of space in the living room.
A neutral, earthy colour palette is soothing here and the incorporation of a comfy couch with ample scatters adds to the welcoming atmosphere of this space. In true Scandi style, the room showcases a mix of materials, from wooden furniture, to glass, mirror, leather, and woven and natural fabrics. The overall feel is cosy, yet classy; inviting yet sophisticated.
The welcome addition of greenery brings a natural flair to the bedroom. Light bounces off the glass wall and creates a clever play on space and light in this abode.
The bedroom is cosy and minimalist with clear Scandi influences that add to the comfortable and simplistic design of this space. An abundance of light pours in from the patio door and adjacent window; while the darker wall shade creates depth here.
A spacious kitchen incorporates a dining table with dark wood dining tables. Uniquely simple yet attractive shaker style cabinets add to the style of the kitchen, complete with modern amenities and a striking matte black oven and hob. Stylish light pendants above the countertops add interest and a touch of class to this kitchen.
