Humbert & Poyet Present Beefbar: Where Design Meets Gastronomy in NYC
With a touch of cinematic flair, the renowned interior design and architecture agency Humbert & Poyet has crafted the stunning decor for Beefbar restaurant in New York. This project embodies the grandeur and cosmopolitan spirit of the city, capturing its essence in every detail.
Nestled at the intersection of two streets in the trendy Tribeca district, Beefbar occupies a striking building with Art Deco features, developed by Tribeca Hospitality Group. Spanning 600m², Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet showcase their expertise in creating volumes filled with light, seamlessly blending eclectic colors, textiles, and materials.
A Grand Entrance
Upon entering, guests are greeted by lofty ceilings and tall arched windows framed in rich garnet marble, setting an elegant tone. The lower walls feature artistic textured cladding in soft pink and brown tones, adorned with a delicate geometric pattern highlighted by brass cabochons. A plaster bas-relief with stylized plant motifs enhances the sophisticated design, while parquet floors pay homage to historical patterns. The coffered ceiling, reminiscent of Manhattan’s industrial heritage, contrasts beautifully with the light-colored cornicing, embellished with subtle floral details.
The air of sophistication is further elevated by Verde Alpi marble tables, plush velvet bench seats, and dining chairs upholstered in Pierre Frey fabrics. Bronze and alabaster sconces cast a warm glow, reflecting the charm of the 1930s Cafe Society. The grand kitchen and meat display cabinet, framed in fluted red and white marble, invite guests into a convivial atmosphere.
Timeless Elegance
The bar area, adorned with a canopy and reflective ceiling, continues the theme of opulence. Clad in garnet marble with brass accents, it engages in a striking dialogue with the terrazzo floor. Bathed in a warm amber light, the designers have envisioned a cozy, seductive speakeasy ambiance. Leather stretches across the walls, while seating upholstered in Rocher fabric from HUMBERT & POYET’s Villa Riviera collection offers comfort at the long counter and high stools, creating an inviting space for both lunch and dinner.
The adjacent private dining room enhances the experience of Beefbar New York. With intentionally low ceilings, this intimate setting features a vibrant carpet that adds warmth. Colorful Murano glass sconces, sourced from Milan, cast a gentle light over textured wallpaper, creating a serene atmosphere where time seems to stand still, allowing guests to indulge in the restaurant’s culinary offerings amidst the vibrant energy of New York City.

January 30, 2025Dear Sir or Madam
We received your coordinates from the beefbar-Team in New York as we have recently been there and look forward to visiting the beefbar Grace Hotel in St. Moritz soon.
We were asking for the stylish and comfortable dining chair in the beefbar in New York for our holiday home in Switzerland. Could you help us find out where these chairs are available? It is for private use only. We think about 10 chairs.
We would very much appreciate your response.
Kind regards
