Christian Lacroix Maison and Schmidt

French design house Christian Lacroix Maison and Schmidt, the country’s leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, have collaborated for a second time to create a bespoke home design.

With an overall delicate design and subdued colour scheme in blush, forest green and neutral hues, the project is the epitome of contemporary living.

Titled Prête-Moi Ta Plume, the design is characterised by an imaginative signature motif specially created by Christian Lacroix Maison for Schmidt. Dreamt up by Sacha Walckhoff, Creative Director of Christian Lacroix Maison, the delicate design consists of swirls of multicoloured feathers.

The motif is dominant throughout the interior project, from the kitchen island and alcove to the wardrobes in the dressing room and the upholstery fabric.

In the dressing room, for instance, the Prête-Moi Ta Plume design is tempered by a soft blush hue, La vie en Rose, which was specially created by Schmidt for the project.

While in the kitchen, the feather motif is paired with darker, bolder colours, highlighting the versatility of the pattern.

“A veritable illustration of French elegance, the kitchen is reinvented with the Prête-Moi Ta Plume. This design is repeated on other elements such as the columns and open niches, combining perfectly with the Navy Soft colour, created by Schmidt for the façades,” says Christian Lacroix Maison.

Effortlessly transitioning from classic, intimate spaces to bolder, contemporary ones, the Prête-Moi Ta Plume motif is a true example of the design house’s ability to create stylish yet timeless designs both on and off the runway.
