Wanda Michelle Interiors: Step Inside A Luxury Lodge
Africa is renowned for its breathtaking resorts and lodges, often attracting some of the world’s elite. Besides the natural landscapes and picturesque settings of these luxurious lodges, the interior design is often elevated to new levels of sophistication and magnificence.
Safari experiences are currently all the rage as guests travel from around the globe to visit these pristine locations. The design of such lodges is often a mix of sleek design and rugged appeal.
Wanda Michelle Interiors (WMI) are no strangers to luxurious interior design. They have worked on some of the most exquisite luxury lodges such as Lodge Okuti in Botswana – evoking an elegance and natural splendour of each distinct design.
Lodge Okuti is one such luxury lodge that received the royal treatment from the team at WMI. Here, a selection of muted colours and unobtrusive elements work together to create a stylish yet comfy space. We love the use of natural materials and textures that add to the unrefined elegance of this beautiful lodge.
“We wanted to create flow through various focal points and an uncluttered feeling throughout,” explains the team from WMI. As a result, the lodge’s distinct design allowed the designers to dream big and draw on maximum inspiration to fill each space.
The end result is a beautiful and inspired space for rest and relaxation. Like a haven nestled in a beautiful location, each space adds to the serenity of the lodge, with interesting textures, neutral shades and a blend of materials that echo the natural beauty of the surrounds.
Bedrooms open up to the outdoors where you can experience the magic of the outdoors. Okuti’s spacious curved tents are located on raised teak decks, each featuring a balcony with river views, and an outdoor bath, completely private, for the chance to luxuriate under Botswana’s azure skies.
Wanda-Michelle Interiors (WMI) are involved in various markets, predominantly within luxury residential renovations and the leisure sector, including boutique hotels and lodges.
