5 Star Capri Luxury At Punta Tragara Hotel
Elegance, quality, careful research of materials, accessories and fabrics transform the Punta Tragara Boutique Hotel in Capri into an environment full of charm and character studied in detail.
Owned by Count Goffredo Manfredi, Punta Tragara has embarked on an extraordinary growth path and today, thanks to the style and creativity of Giorgia Dennerlein of Loto Ad Project, it is a reference point for five-star luxury Capri hospitality.
Leaning out on the Amalfi coast , its walls have a lot of history to tell: it dates back to 1920, when the engineer Emilio Errico Vismara, born in Lombardy, chose Punta Tragara as the perfect place to build a mansion, located on the sea and with spectacular views of the Faraglioni rock formations. The plans were drawn up by Le Corbusier, who described the villa as “a kind of architectural flower, an extension of the rock, an offspring of the island, a plant-like phenomenon.”
Punta Tragara is located in one the best areas on the island. Like an eagle’s nest, perched on the highest rock in Capri with the most spectacular views overlooking the Marina Piccola Bay, and just steps from Capri’s historic Piazzetta.
Punta Tragara is probably Capri’s most impressively located hotel. It’s a vertical slice of paradise and was at the time one of the most elegant private villas on the island. Today it’s an iconic luxury boutique hotel with 44 beautiful bedrooms, including six utterly unforgettable suites.
Interior designer Giorgia Dennerlein has made no two rooms the same, and it’s an innovative design, in which antiques and contemporary touches go really well together.
“It has always been about a sense of home, a form of elegance which listens to Capri’s voice and interprets it with a light, personal touch. The villa which is now our hotel was once home to my grandparents, Count and Countess Manfredi, who spent wonderful summers here in the company of friends, family and illustrious figures. More than just a holiday, it was a chance to refresh the body and mind surrounded by nature and warm affection. The same memories still inspire every marvellous season at Punta Tragara today.” – Goffredo Manfredi – Owner
