Plascon House Tour: Cottage Charm
The old-world charm of this cosy cottage is ever so welcoming. Filled with perfectly curated furniture and vintage finds, this cottage is far from traditional or dated; instead, it is packed with ornate details and interesting pieces that add to the overall energy of this abode.
The living room is beautifully calming and bright, in neutral tones that complement the natural materials within the building itself – from exposed wooden beams to solid wood flooring. A stunning selection of monochromatic prints creates a soulful gallery wall, while a simple arrangement of seating and coffee table completes this space. A vintage mirror, with an ornate golden frame, further adds to the old-world cottage charm of this home. The dining room is one of our favourite places in this home. Firstly, that chandelier is the perfect piece to anchor this space. We love the simple wire globe-like frame; perfectly paired with detailed wire dining chairs at the head of the table. A central fireplace adds to the vintage feel of the home and again, the use of oaky wooden tones works to complement the different types of wooden finishes found throughout this residence. A glorious arrangement of art adorns the mantel, adding vibrancy and creativity in this room. The bedroom, although still vintage in style, is a soothing, tranquil and inviting space. Here again, wood, wire and framed prints add to a sense of creative freedom. White walls keep things neutral while pops of grey, black and even browns add to the comfortability of this room. A striking throw adds colour and texture to the bed. The bathroom has more of a mid-century vibe going on, complete with vintage chandelier, painted white to match the intricate details of the ornate mirror above the sink. Classic yet neutral, this room oozes elegance. The vanity itself is striking in shades of glossy black, silver and white. Contact: Plascon Via
