La Grange Interiors: A St Francis Bay Private Home
In November 2012, a raging fire destroyed 76 homes in St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape. The owners of one of these beautiful thatched homes that burned down (sad and devastated as they were about the tragic incident), wasted no time in designing and building their new holiday home.
La Grange Interiors started work on the interiors mid-2013. The brief called for crisp, fresh and contemporary interiors, with a ‘barefoot luxury’ feel, yet staying true to the traditional style of architecture and design St Francis Bay is renowned for.
The house is also the place where three generations of the family will come together to create new memories. As such, it needed to accommodate the needs of a growing family with various ages represented.
La Grange was truly honoured and excited to be appointed as a part of this thrilling assignment. They immediately took to work to create a dreamy interior that was both functional and stylish – to be enjoyed by the entire family.
A modern colour palette of greys, neutrals and white set the tone of sophistication in this holiday home. The cool interior colours lends itself to a modern, crisp and calm environment – ideal for a family vacation and modern living!
Beautiful solid wooden furniture adds to the modern look of this home – with a gorgeous Scandinavian style.
La Grange is all about beautiful interiors. From luxurious soft furnishings in textured natural linens to timeworn antiques, custom designed wooden furniture, lamps and accessories that blend easily with La Grange’s signature casual yet elegant rattan furniture.
