Spotlight: Studio Lloyd
If you’re looking for that unique statement piece, whether a beautiful light sculpture, seating, wall hangings and more, Studio Lloyd is in the business of creating designer works of art for contemporary spaces.
Founded in 2016 by South African lighting and industrial designer Ashlee Lloyd, Studio Lloyd products are developed through close collaboration with clients, with a focus on detail, pure craftswomanship and quality of long-lasting materials.
Who is Studio Lloyd?
A workforce led by driven women, Studio Lloyd offers luxurious light sculpture, seating, interesting objects and space design. Over the past four years, this design house has worked closely with their clientele to develop beautiful works of art, crafted by hand for the residential, commercial and hospitality industry. The Studio aims to create exclusive eye-catching design, making it hard to find something similar anywhere else.
As the founder, Ashlee Lloyd is a 3-dimensional product and lighting designer. A textile lover and electrical fanatic. Her vision is to create arrestingly functional and exclusive pieces that engage one’s emotions and senses. Each creation is delicately made with sublime attention to detail and she allows each fixture to develop organically, combining contrasting luxurious materials.
The result is a culmination of functionality and true individuality.
Light Sculptures
These are designed to mimic the curves of nature and are beautifully made-to-order and installed on site.
Seating
Made from the same high quality braided ropes that shape the light sculptures, this range offers a stylish crocheted set of ottomans for casual seating.
