Razzle and Dazzle with Emerald Green and Gold!
The emerald green and gold combination is one of our favourites for 2017.
Stately, elegant and elevated, we can’t get enough of emerald green and gold as this year’s hottest power colour combination.
Green, the colour of the year declared by Pantone, has seen itself expressed in many shades and tones in contemporary spaces. Emerald green is a glamorous play on green, with gold refining this dazzling pairing. There really aren’t any rules when it comes to styling this fabulous combination.
As you can see from the mood board below, there is so much room to play around here. In a minimal, Scandinavian setting, this colour scheme works as a gorgeous pop of bold colour in an otherwise neutral palette. In fact, we’ve seen plenty of plush emerald sofas and chairs used to add contrast in this design. The Ether chair (4) is a perfect way to add a splash of colour to your minimal space or even the Gold seat Eifel (8) chair for a bit of bespoke magic. We’d recommend these chairs as elegant seating around a timber dining table.
In terms of lighting, metallics have reigned in decor over the past few years. While copper and rose gold have stolen the spotlight (forgive the pun), we prefer gold for it’s versatility and sophistication. If you’re going for a bold, statement piece with a contemporary twist, try the show-stopping Milano Twinkle chandelier (2). For the conservative interior decorator, a pretty scatter cushion like the Tautha Amoebe (3) or the eclectic Eve two-tier tray (1) can transform your space without committing to a bigger piece.
