Plascon House Tour: Sleek and Scandi Living
Today’s apartment oozes simple Scandinavian style with an emphasis on a streamlined yet high-end interior. We love the trend towards Scandi style which brings with it a love of all things minimalist, simple and functional, as evident in today’s sleek Scandi home.
Smart storage and a creative use of space are key components of the owners’ interior style in keeping with the cool, calm and collected Scandi interior that is ever-present in this home.
The kitchen is a beautiful light-filled space with skylights and large metal-framed windows that add character and light into this room. Open shelving featuring crockery and kitchenwares, as well as a simple wooden table and all-white walls hints at the simplicity and authenticity which is intrinsic in Scandi living.
The kitchen floor has bandsaw markings on it, which age really well. As it gets more worn, it becomes more beautiful.
The bedroom too is kept neutral and simple with a light colour palette and soft furnishings in a matching tone that adds to the soft, calm and neutral surrounds of this room. Drapes extend to the floors, adding a level of comfort and sophistication while standout pieces include a end-of-bed bench in solid wood, which adds a richness to this room.
Things are further kept streamlined in the bathroom with double sinks and symmetrical mirrors on the walls overhead. Bronze tapware adds a little intrigue and glamour to this space, and we love how the metallic finishes pop against the neutral white space. An innovative floating shelf acts as storage and brings another dimension of style to this simple bathroom.
