Plascon House Tour: Inspiration In The Details
Today’s artsy, colourful home is filled with inspiration. From a vibrant gallery wall leading you up to the second floor to a blush pink and green kitchen… colour is king in this whimsical residence.
Far from the plethora of neutral, white and Scandi inspired homes we have been touring lately, today’s retreat is a feast of colour and energy. A mix of artwork, patterns, prints and bold shades combine and inspire in this magical family home.
Blue and lilac walls fill the stairwell in true contrast. We love the light-filled space created here by these beautiful double volume windows. And with a touch of elegance, golden trim completes the look, adding a sense of elegance to this interesting area of the home.
The dining room is an adventurous space painted brightly in a shade of sky-blue with a stunning collection of modern spheres that form the feature chandelier above the table. Black herringbone flooring adds a fascinating contrast here and we love the vintage table that takes prime position in this room. Everywhere you look, you’re greeted with an array of interesting decor, from a paper swan on the mirrored sideboard to a collection of coloured earthenware vases.
Retro flair shines through in this eclectic kitchen space. The blush pink cabinets boast a touch of whimsy while contrasting green and grey floor tiles add to the vibrancy of this playful space. And who says that you can’t use a modern chandelier in a retro space. This kitchen proves otherwise with a free-form chandelier that brings movement and a play of light into this room.
The study / sitting room boasts beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Also decked out in a soft blue tone, the room feels more calm and tranquil, complete with plush grey occasional chairs and a modern metallic floor lamp that curves overhead.
