Plascon House Tour: French Living with Jacqueline Morabito
Interior designer Jacqueline Morabito’s whitewashed house in Provence, France provides the backdrop for her meticulously considered design.
The architecture of her home adds charm and character, with white wooden ceilings and pops of timber tones that add colour and texture to the space. As is evident in the bedroom, here a rustic yet minimalist approach to design is celebrated with the bed fitting neatly between a pillar and post – maximising the unique space and architecture of her Provence abode. We also love her modern take on a rocking chair in the bedroom, where a contemporary seat is transformed into a modern rocker.
The living spaces are beautifully simple and calming in shades of white and natural wood. No overembellished decor or vibrant colours are used – instead, the designer is embracing the minimalist lifestyle with strategically positioned rustic elements, such as a wooden ladder, to add charm to the home. The outside areas around the home are also celebrated; a beautifully restful outdoor seating area is the perfect addition to the indoor-outdoor living and an extension of Jacqueline’s minimalist design style.
