Minitza: The Geometric Protea Series
Add a sophisticated edge to your design scheme with the beautiful Geometric Protea Series by Minitza.
Combining a modern contemporary style with South Africa’s most sort after indigenous flower – the Protea, this series makes a beautiful entrance in any interior.
Minitza products are all locally produces and include various sizes of wall canvasses, printed fabric, scatter cushions, lamp shades, jewellery, a gift card range and other interior decorations of original artworks. Many are based on indigenous South African subjects including the Protea, King Protea, Baobab Trees, Aloes and Nguni’s (cattle breed).
The result is a beautiful collection of original pieces that are intrinsically African in their design and origin. Mediums used when preparing the original artworks include Etching, Marley print, Silkscreen and Drawing. Combined with printed paper, all works become mixed media. Etching & dry needle allows for intricate and detailed work while Marley prints give beautiful abstract feel, especially when embossing in paper.
Digital printing is another fascinating field for the team at Minitza. The original artworks are transformed onto any medium and then digitally printed. This not only makes the artworks more accessible to a wider audience, but also extends the work to become more functional.
All images are representations of original graphic prints and all items are proudly locally produced.
Canvasses may be ordered from the existing catalogue, or, if a custom order is required, images may be manipulated in terms of colour or size to the client’s requirements, at an additional fee.
Basic sizes begin from 200x200mm and go up to 1200x1200mm.
