The Kantha is native to eastern South Asia, in particular Bangladesh and neighbouring Indian states. It often features bright colours stitched together layer upon layer of old saris and tossed-aside cloth scraps that create these beautifully thin throws used as blankets and cushions. They often feature different patterns on each side, so you can change things up and use them as a double-sided throw or blanket in your home.

A kilim is another fantastic handcrafted item that originates mostly from the countries located in the former Persian Empire – Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkic countries of Central Asia.
