DIYgirls Transforms Tiny Space Into Stylish Pop-Up At The Homemakers Fair
The Homemakers Fair challenged DIYgirls, a turnkey interior design company that provides high-quality, handcrafted furniture & soft furnishings, to transform a 53sqm blank space into a pop-up apartment for their expo at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit from 24 to 26 March. The team accepted the challenge and transformed their tiny space into a stunning apartment, using careful planning and lots of creativity.
DIYgirls prioritized functionality, maximized space utilization, and created specific zones in the small space. They chose a bold and cohesive colour palette of black, cream, and bronze, incorporated a variety of textures, and added accessories and artwork to give the apartment personality and style. Lighting was also a critical element in the small space, and DIYgirls incorporated a combination of handmade task and ambient lighting.
According to DIYgirls, “designing a small space with a dramatic and bold colour palette can be challenging, but with the right lighting, furniture, and accessories you too can transform your small apartment into a stylish and edgy living space to make a striking statement.”
The pop-up apartment by DIYgirls will be on display at the Homemakers Fair from 24 to 26 March at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. DIYgirls will also be holding a talk titled “Mastering Colour and Texture in Bespoke Interior Design: Trends and Tips for a Harmonious Scheme” on Saturday 25 March and Sunday 26 March at 11am.
Visit DIYgirls at the Homemakers Fair to get inspired and learn more about their design techniques.
