Casa LV coloured glassware
Casa LV embodies the shared vision of two close friends, Lynne and Vilma, who, drawing inspiration from their Italian and South African roots and love of entertaining family and friends around beautifully decorated tables, established the company in 2017.
Not soon afterwards, also bitten by the creative bug, Lara (Vilma’s daughter), Julia (Lynne’s daughter), and Alice joined the company, each contributing a unique skill set that fosters collaboration and brings their collective vision to fruition.
A collaborative effort between mothers and daughters, committed to crafting artisanal hand-blown glassware, today, the Cape Town-based company is well-known for its creativity, craftsmanship and colour. From matte hues to pastel shades and pops of bright colour, Casa LV’s range of coloured glassware is extensive.
Short, tall, slim and bulbous, round or square, here each glass piece is meticulously crafted and inspired by its namesake, reflecting a blend of creativity and tradition that both educates customers about, as well as celebrates the remarkable design discipline.
“Glass blowing is a delicate art, it’s our mission to educate and celebrate this incredible design form,” remarks Lynne and Vilma, encapsulating their dedication to their craft and vision.
“Our beautiful manmade vases mean that no two pieces are exactly alike… making them individual pieces of art.”
And don’t think the vases are for holding blooms, only. These functional pieces can double up as vessels to hold items such as pens (just think how gorgeous they can look on your desk), bath salts, fruit and veggies or ice! You can even use it as a votive or candleholder.
