Their goal is to sustain and elevate these age old methods through a contemporary design process. Armadillo&Co products help to provide employment and sustains an industry of ancient craftsmanship. They further support education and local schools in the weavers’ villages and help to build brighter futures for children in underprivileged communities.

Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst created Armadillo&Co in 2009. Armadillo&Co was born from their desire to combine aesthetics and ethics with clear focus on social responsibility. What they couldn’t find, they decided to make. Together with eclectic skills and backgrounds, their intention to make a positive impact within weavers’ communities quickly became a reality.

Their vision to establish a company committed to ethical production gained momentum after seeing an opportunity in the market for simple, handmade, quality rugs.
