Handmade Ceramics By Mervyn Gers
Bring the earthy elegance of ceramics home with Mervyn Gers and add a little colour to your interiors. Internationally renowned for their exquisite ceramic tableware, Mervyn Gers is home to a vast selection of colourful and interesting works.
Mervyn Gers Ceramics specialises in creating bespoke functional and decorative handmade ceramics. They create their very own clay, mix their own glazes and print their own transfers. This allows the team to produce completely unique ranges and pieces tailored to the needs of clients.
Handmade in Cape Town to order, Mervyn Gers glazed stoneware has a beautifully organic look. Clay is mixed with finely milled ceramic, to create a rougher texture which is then shaped and fired at up to 1220°C to create strong, long-lasting stoneware. All items are handmade, making variations in texture and finish a charming part of their finish.
Collaborating with South Africa’s best chefs, game lodges, local and international retail outlets, guest houses and discerning individuals, Mervyn Gers creates distinct products complementing your décor tastes and enhancing your brand.
With an array of collections and colours to choose from, as well as artist collaborations and bespoke projects, Mervyn Gers remains on the cutting edge of design – with the latest ceramic innovations to enhance your space.
The limited Walter Battiss collection is among our favourites on offer from Mervyn Gers. Battiss’s work, with its strong shapes and coloursm lends itself very well to the medium of ceramics. The result is an exquisite range of beautiful artwork transferred into ceramics for the very first time.
