DDL: Keep An Eye On These Summer Trends
Summer is just around the corner, and with it beckons a whole new season of colour, design and summer trends to grace our interior spaces! We hear from the professionals from DDL Design and Decor Lab about what trends to look out for the summer season ahead!
1. Fresh New Colours Welcome summer with fun new colours to add a zest for life in your home. The Pantone Colour of the year for 2017 – Greenery – continues to leave its mark in interior design, but there are other trending colours to keep an eye on, such as the vibrant hues including oranges, pinks and yellows within summer interiors. Bright, bold colour is here to stay! 2. Tropical Grandeur It is a jungle out there, with a wide range of materials from wallpaper and fabrics to tableware and furnishings, sporting tropical foliage and abundant colour. Whether you choose a subtle or bold application, there are plenty of ways to incorporate a little ‘Tropical’ décor into your home to create a fresh, modern and welcoming space. But don’t worry if such in-your-face prints are out of character for you. DDL suggests throw pillows boasting the trendy pattern e.g. buy a plain sofa and change it up with new pillows. 3. Magnificent in Marble Equal parts luxury and glamour, marble is the hottest new material to introduce into your home this season. From marble-effect carpets, faux marble stones, marbled fabrics and even marble wallpaper, there are several ways to incorporate this gorgeous, soothing effect into your interior design. Of course, brass is another texture that will continue to dominate. For a combination of something very natural and clean, mix white marble with the industrial, hard, and a-little-bit-glamorous feel of brass. If you’re considering an update to the interior of your home, DDL’s team of interior designers and décor specialists are passionate about bringing your interior design dreams to life. Due to their remarkable growth, you can also find them at their new premises from 1 November 2017 – 6 Kramer Road, Unit R101 B, First Floor, Kramerville Corner, Kramerville. This new store will offer an even larger selection of products!
