A Walk On The Dark Side with Streamlight
DARK is the latest in lifestyle and living. The brainchild of Streamlight’s directors, DARK is the space where design and décor meets fashion and lifestyle. Inspired by travelling the world and being able to walk into a store that offers anything and everything. The team offers a one-of-a-kind experience and creates a creative community.
DARK is a truly unique South African lifestyle concept store, although it will take you across the world with its interesting and varied international offerings. Dark offers customers an array of lifestyle, décor and fashion products and is fast becoming a place where products from Amsterdam and Denmark sit side by side among beautiful local products.
The brand takes you all over the world with names like Pig & Hen, Leff Amsterdam, Craft Cartel, Simon & Mary and exclusive artwork by Regardt Van Der Meulen.
DARK offers the Cape Town based Colony Cycles and their fabulous range of super cool single speed, Dutch style cycles. Then there is Amsterdam’s LEFF, and their beautifully designed watches, clocks and speakers. These are designer pieces that will stand the test of time and DARK is very excited to be the first in South Africa to bring LEFF into our community.
In a recent media interview, Brad Kalish, product designer at Streamlight, explained: “Dark gives South African creatives a space where they can showcase the latest in African and international street trends. We took our collective knowledge of European trends and created a more cost-effective lighting range that is just as impressive as any Italian or Spanish design collection. We then integrated both international and local street brands to create the lifestyle concept store.”
