Plascon House Tour: Boho Chic Retreat
The contrast of dark and light; rich timber versus stark white interior walls – brings today’s house tour to life. The boho chic design is one that promotes relaxed living.
It is in Mallorca that this retreat, known as Villa Son Font, welcomes visitors with its luxurious boho chic style, refined finishing and relaxed atmosphere. From the terrace visitors have the pleasure of enjoying the natural landscape, which extends into the home, creating a peaceful retreat.
A striking corner sofa fills the living room. The grey tones create a simple, relaxed ambiance and an array of textures and textiles complete the look of this large living space. A mix of mirrors, woven baskets and plush scatters add textural qualities to this room, in contrast with the neutral white walls.
Dark wooden tones add depth in the kitchen, from wooden ceiling beams overhead to the beautiful natural wood of the cabinetry used. Dark stone counters add intrigue here and overhead, industrial style lighting adds to the boho chic ambiance of this home.
The wooden ceiling beams are a feature right throughout this home, hinting at the charm of the original building. The interior fireplace also adds to the character of this room, and together with the rustic table and benches, creates a cool, calming environment.
Natural elements extend into the bathroom where a beautiful stone sink becomes a wonderful feature in this space. Grey towelling and linens add to the neutral yet earthy look of this space.
Raised ceilings in the bedroom add to the spacious feel of the room. Here again, natural textures sing through in the form of a textured rug, light fittings and even cotton bed linen that helps to create the soothing atmosphere of this room.
