The House Bed is every child’s dream with its house-shaped canopy that will let the imagination soar.
House beds are a favourite amongst kids and parents. Kids love the playfulness, simply drape a sheet over and it transforms into a fort, while parents love the many learning opportunities it provides. As it is on the floor, it encourages your child’s independence (a la Montessori Method).
It comes with slats and fits a standard size single mattress, making it perfect for little bodies that are transitioning from their cot to their first big bed. No need for parents to stress when your baby moves out into a bigger house!
This sturdy bed is handmade in South Africa from semi-clear grade SA Pinewood, with minimal knots and no dark knots. The finish is Coastal White, which is a pigmented VOC friendly furniture oil with a coat of natural wax applied over that for extra protection and a smoother feel.
The bed accommodates a standard SA single mattress sized 91cm x 188cm (available separately), so you don’t have to buy a new mattress when they outgrow the house…
The solid pine raised head and side panels mimic a daybed while cradling the mattress and supporting an assortment of pillows.
It’s so easy to make bedtime fun with this new house bed, simply hang some string lights, drape a canopy over the roof and add some scatters to turn this house into a home!
