Distinct style by global designers

Each space has been created by some of the world’s greatest interior designers, working closely with renowned makers and international design houses. In this unique collective every one has a distinctive style; from timeless elegance and inviting comfort to boldly dramatic, globe-trotting fantasy and romance.

Whether you are a design professional or an individual seeking solutions for your own project, you will find inspiration at every turn. And once you have left the showhouse, brimming with new ideas, you’ll be just steps from the showrooms to source an array of designs that you may never have considered before.

Alongside CEO Claire German and associate director of exhibitions Simone du Bois, they brought invaluable experience, expertise and market intelligence to the WOW!house project. They included CEO of de Le Cuona, Bernie de Le Cuona, who heads the design and creative direction as well as business operation of the global brand she founded; Deborah Pocock, CEO of The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), the charity that supports the training and education of talented craftspeople through scholarship and apprenticeship funding; renowned ceramic artist, tableware designer and gallerist Peter Ting who has made a global contribution to the craft industry; and Miles de Lange whose creative flair and insider knowledge of furniture, decorative arts and fabric brands is well known.

“From its very conception I have been completely enthused by this ambitious project,” says Bernie de Le Cuona about WOW!house. “It’s such a fantastic platform for us all to come together and celebrate the very best this industry has to offer – a chance for us to showcase the best product and interior design.”

Each room at the WOW!house provided a perfect canvas for transformation, but what exactly was the steering committee looking for? In theory: great designers with a strong point of view, who could execute it. In practice, they achieved a mix of established names and rising stars, as well as an international and stylistic balance.

From Concept to Reality

World-class designers accepted the invitation to get involved, as did generous room sponsors. At London Design Week 2022, names of the designers were revealed at a packed press briefing and the project was off to the races. Weeks of frenzied work followed as the designers worked tirelessly to achieve their vision, sourcing exceptional products, commissioning bespoke pieces and finding suppliers and tradespeople who could bring their ideas to life.

For them, it was an opportunity to stretch creatively and indulge in imaginative ideas a client might never get on board with. Quality of materials, attention to detail and finishes represented the zenith of craftsmanship, demonstrating why the world of interior design continues to raise the bar of creative practice.

Momentum gathered in the months leading up to the event as media interest grew both at home and overseas. Furthermore, with the opening date in sight, skilled exhibition teams set to work constructing the specially commissioned showhouse, installing the exterior facade and fitting out the rooms. Now, the stage is set for you to experience these extraordinary spaces.
