Uncorked Elegance: The Wine Room Crafts A Grand Wine Cellar
For wine enthusiasts, a carefully curated collection is a source of pride and joy. But when that collection outgrows its humble beginnings, it’s time to think outside the bottle – or in this case, the cellar. Meet the discerning oenophiles who dared to dream big, and the innovative team from The Wine Room that brought their vision to life. In this stunning transformation, an underground wine cellar evolves into a spacious walk-in room, perfect for sipping, savouring, and showcasing a treasured wine collection.
The elegant design includes built-in oak displays for high-capacity wine storage. This pairs well with a central display featuring backlit Lumostone and premium wine pegs. Fun, contemporary steel-and-oak Wine ladders on the side walls compliment the more traditional oak display and the client’s beautiful selection of wallpaper behind.
Overflow storage for wine cases is provided at higher levels in this 4.5m high room. The cellar is cooled at 15 degrees with relative humidity sitting at 60-75% year-round – perfect for a premium wine collection. The cellar fit-out is completed with cellar-grade glazing and integrated LED lighting.
The Wine Room was involved from start to finish on this project, including in-person consultation with a team of designers; through to manufacture and installation of all items in the cellar overseen by the team of experienced in-house project managers.
Value-added services for premium Signature Clients include optional supply and stocking of the cellar after completion, with recommendations by a resident sommelier and wine import partners. Other optional services include supply and styling of stemware and accessories into the space; and private wine tastings once the space is complete.
