Season 19

End Date: Sunday, 17 August 2025
PRIME: Thu 21:00 & Fri 18:00
This season of Grand Designs is as wide ranging, inspiring and involving as ever. There’s a crumbling 18th century listed folly castle in Buckinghamshire, tortuously restored and re invented as a family home for four. In Cornwall, a surfer brings to life a giant steel and glass house inspired by an 80’s cult film. There’s a cutting edge ‘healthy house’ near Richmond, meticulously designed to improve the health of two young boys living with life-threatening conditions.
In Leominster, a beautiful steel and aluminium barn is built by lifelong friends on land where they both played as children. Identical twin brothers create twin contemporary industrial houses on stilts overlooking a mill pond in Sheffield. Near Lewes is a ground-breaking home made entirely from high-tech concrete for a deep-sea diver and family. And not forgetting a revisit to the giant cob castle in Devon, one man’s vision that’s taken 8 long years of struggle to finally complete. Kevin McCloud is once again on hand to share the pain and celebrate the triumphs, of those risking everything to create extraordinary new places to live.
