Stylin’ Dredz Creative Conqueror Leeroy Jason Takes Over AFROPUNK FEST Paris
Photographer and avid traveller, Leeroy Jason, has once again taken a step in showcasing South Africa’s talent and this time he showed it off at AFROPUNK FEST Paris.
Known for his natural instinct for visually telling and artistically documenting (South) African stories, Jason took to Paris on a journey in search of more storytelling through the eyes of the world – as the official photographer of this world-known occasion that took place the 14th and 15th of July 2018. Jason recently returned from his Paris trip, where he was commissioned as a festival photographer.
“My journey through AFROPUNK FEST Paris has been super cool. It’s been such an honor to have experienced the event as both a festival goer and the official photographer for their 2018 Paris edition. It has been a surreal moment from when I landed, to meeting the coolest people and performances as well as enjoying the city as a whole. I tell stories through pictures and I was happy to share this journey through my Instagram takeover with Stylin’ Dredz – a brand that believes in my talent and has actively sought to support and celebrate creative talent in South Africa,” says photographer Leeroy Jason.
Stylin’ Dredz Brand Manager, Tumiso Mathebula also added, “Stylin’ Dredz is proud to have such authentic partnerships with like-minded personalities and properties like AFROPUNK FEST. The Creative Conquerors are all about winning in their crafts and what better way to celebrate Leeroy’s wins than partnering with him for the festival? We will continue advocating for our Creative Conquerors outside of the recent showcase they hosted, and hope to encourage upcoming creatives to live true to their unique talents and passions- not conforming to norms”.
