Spotlight 2024 Decor Trends.
It’s that time of the year again…
No, we’re not talking about the Boney M repeats and the jolly decor, we’re talking about that time of the year when we start planning for 2024. And not those “I’ll lose 20kg and learn a new language” plans that you’ll kick yourself for not completing this time next year but the “what’s in store for 2024” plans. The what to shop, how to decorate, what colour to paint your front door kind of plans.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the freshest emerging decor trends for 2024…
Biophilic and nature-inspired design
With seeming no end in sight (yeah!), the biophilic trend is spilling into 2024. Once again, it’s all about the human-nature connection and creating more liveable, healthy and beautiful spaces.
So, go all out on natural materials, especially natural fibre rugs and easy-care textiles like cotton and linen, and invest in floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights.
Joyful aesthetics
This trend is all about creating spaces that trigger happiness. Think bold colours, patterns and other playful elements such as quirky artworks and bubblegum-pink accessories.
Warm minimalism
This may sound like a contradiction in terms but a minimalist interior doesn’t need to be cold and clinical. This is all about creating a peaceful space with minimal visual clutter.
Think simplicity, functionality, comfort and style – and lots of neutral earth tones, of course.
Murals
On the flip side, life-sized murals are also setting to trend in 2024. Think large-scale paintings or wallpaper designs that cover an entire wall or ceiling and create visual impact.
If you can, go custom on this trend.
Shaped mirrors
Another way – or shape – in which decor lovers will be going custom next year is with shaped mirrors. From irregular geometric shapes to organic forms, shaped mirrors are all the rage and the perfect way to add personality to a room.
Also bang on trend are coloured mirrors.
As always, keep an eye on our platforms throughout the coming year for more decor trends, hot finds and the latest designer furniture and homeware reveals.
